Casa Flor de Mayo blends modern architecture with a local charm in an ultimate seaside retreat. The villa indoor and outdoor areas have been designed around its fabulous setting overlooking the twenty-foot cliffs and turquoise waters of the Caribbean sea. The villa sits a short seaside walk to the Mayan ruins at the tip of Isla Mujeres, as well as one of the islands many attractions, Garrafon Park.

Unobstructed views from most rooms are simply breathtaking. High ceilings and large glass sliders in the ocean facing rooms allow guests to embrace the ocean breeze and sounds of waves crashing on the rocks. The large infinity-edge waterfall pool has both a shallow play and lounge area, and a large deep swimming area, surrounded by a large pool deck and lower and upper patios.

50 shades of blue

Perched on top of breathtaking cliffs overlooking the Caribbean (with perfect sunrise views) Casa Flor de Mayo is a gorgeous beach home that can accommodate up to 10 guests. It’s decorated in various shades of blue; mirroring the turquoises, sapphires, and azure hues of the sea it faces.

Balconies? Take your pick.

This casa is built with an open-air design that makes it easy to blend the indoors and outdoors. The light ocean breeze flows easily through the home. Sliding patio doors connect the living space with the expansive deck and lounging area, which is also home to an infinity waterfall pool. Relax by the pool with a book and a cool drink — the area has plenty of shady nooks but gets full sun for much of the day. You can also enjoy the sound of crashing waves from a number of balconies, terraces, and decks around the home.

Inside, the casa is bright and minimalist, with large windows and plenty of natural light. There are four Master bedrooms, featuring en-suite bathrooms with waterfall showers. Three of these rooms are oceanfront masters, boasting king-sized beds, (two upstairs, and one downstairs). The other master is upstairs and has two twins that can also be arranged side-by-side as a king.

The fifth bedroom is a guest room on the lower level with two twin beds. Guests will have access to the main floor powder room and will share shower facilities with one of the master bedrooms. All of the beds have pillow-top mattresses, bamboo mattress covers, high-end satiny bamboo sheets, and a mix of bamboo and anti-allergy pillows.

A dream kitchen

Casa Flor de Mayo also has a gorgeous custom kitchen with high-end stainless steel appliances, a beautiful marble countertop, and bright blue accents. Whether it’s hot coffee, a frothy margarita, or a nice glass of red, you’ll be thrilled to socialize with drinks in this kitchen. Cook a fresh meal, or, just take your cup of comfort out to the balcony and decide which amazing restaurant you’re going to try for your next meal.
